Since the work of a phlebotomist involves the handling of blood, they can work in any kind of health facility including the nursing homes. The work of a phlebotomist is not centralized but they can also travel to work in different locations where they are expected to get blood donations maybe for the blood banks.

The skills of a phlebotomist are not too complicated compared to those of a doctor since you are just expected to handle the blood at sight. They are however expected to be careful when handling the medical equipment to avoid injuring the patient when drawing the blood from the veins. In order to be a qualified phlebotomist, you must have attained high school degree and proceeded to a higher level of education which could be vocational training schools.
